This is the same regardless of using the Active or Passive adopter, I've also tested a standard HDMI cable too. TV shows I have to crank up to 15-22 volume. I could watch movies at say a 12-15 volume. It appears on my receiver properly and I get sound/surround sound. The only way I can get audio is by selecting Kodi's output as 2.0. TV Shows range from 2.0 to 5.1 as well, like I said never had a problem before. I have Kodi set to 5.1 output through my DisplayPort/Thunderbolt port to my Sony AMP/TV. The majority of my movies are fine (ranging from 2.0 to 5.1 and 7.1 etc). I believe since upgrading I now get this weird audio "glitch" problem occasionally on my movies but mostly on my TV shows. I'm running Kodi 17.4 on a MacBook Air 10.12.6 using a DisplayPort/Thunderbolt to HDMI adopter (I have both a passive and active one) which then gets sent through an Active HDMI cable to my Sony 5.1 Receiver then to my TV.
Hey there, I have searched for an answer but as it is fairly generic I get a lot of false positives.īasically this problem started after upgrading to Krypton I believe.
